The Staff Care Service is available to all Board staff and covers both teaching and non teaching staff in controlled schools including special education and nursery schools.
The service, which is completely independent of the Board, is provided by a network of experienced counsellors. Up to four hours counselling is provided free of charge and the Board does not receive the names of those who make use of the service.
This help is available for staff experiencing personal and other problems: for example stress, family problems, ill health, debt etc.
Those wishing to make use of these support arrangements may obtain the confidential Careline telephone number from the school or the Equal Opportunities and Welfare Unit who will provide this information in confidence. Leaflets describing the service in further detail are also available.
