NEEDS

NEEDs is the Board's Direct Service Organisation established to comply with the legislative requirements under CCT. CCT has recently been replaced by a system of Best Value, which applies across the full range of Board Services.

Best Value is designed to promote local accountability and continuous improvement in Service Delivery. It will require Boards to deliver the quality of service that local people expect at a price they are willing to pay.

The Board is fully committed to providing both its direct and support services under a Best Value Approach.

What do they provide?

NEEDS act as a service provider for:

  • Education Catering - 330 units

  • Grounds Maintenance - 350 sites

  • Building Cleaning - 100 sites on a contractual basis, 250 advisory and support

  • Vehicle Maintenance - 15 customer units, 170 vehicles, 150 items of grounds maintenance equipment.
