If you are a school governor we want to thank you for the time, commitment and effort which you are giving to this important role. We share a common purpose - to see that the children for whom we are responsible are educated to fulfil their potential and become well adjusted young adults able to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Please note that the information provided at this Centre relates chiefly to governors of controlled schools. Generally the information will also apply to governors from other types of schools but on occasions minor variations exist. Whilst we have sought to indicate at times such variations, you may require clarification from, in the first instance, the school Principal or from the employing authority concerned.
