(Temporary for 1 year with possible extension)

Salary will be based on full-time scale:- £26,019 - £28,179 per annum

The NEELB wish to appoint 2 part time area Youth Workers to work as part of the Primary Integrating/Enriching Education (PIEE) Project.  This is an exciting new project aimed at developing cross community collaboration for sustainable success in small rural primary schools in the NEELB area.

Applicants must be qualified Youth Workers in accordance with JNC regulations OR have a teaching qualification awarded prior to 1 January 1989.

PLUS: Applicants must have access to a car or other suitable form of transport as and when necessary to facilitate the requirements of the job in a reasonable and effective manner.

Any appointment will be subject to evidence of qualification being submitted.

Posts involving work in educational institutions are subject to the provisions of the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults (NI) Order 2003.

It is planned that this organisation will become part of the Education and Skills Authority (ESA), which is being established as a result of the Northern Ireland Executive’s Review of Public Administration in education.  The establishment of ESA planned for 1 January 2010 has been delayed and a new date is to be agreed by the Executive.

All appointments completed before the establishment of ESA will be subject to a transfer of employment on the agreed date for the establishment of ESA.  The transfer of employment is protected in accordance with the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)(TUPE) Regulations 2006 and therefore all terms and conditions of employment will be protected on transfer.
