Local Teenagers Write Winning Horror Tales
Teenagers in schools and visiting libraries throughout the NEELB area had been invited to enter a Horror Writing competition, which was created by the Library Service to find a young youth writer of distinction.
There was an overwhelming response to this competition with 26 post-primary schools submitting entries for this along with 17 libraries receiving entries for this competition.
The standard of horror writing was so impressive that a winner was selected from each of the school’s entries and from each of the libraries who received entries.
The prize winners were presented with a signed copy of Darren Shan’s Cirque de Freak, which is a compelling page-turning vampire story.
