Consultation Period from 7th January 2008 until 7th March 2008
Proposal Summary
The Focus (N.I.) Learning Trust on behalf of the Brethren Community hereby proposes to establish a new federated primary school in Northern Ireland. It will have, initially, up to three campuses, located in the Glengormley, Newry, and Londonderry areas. The proposal is to be implemented, subject to the approval of the Department of Education, with effect from 1st September 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter. This school will be co-educational. A distinctive feature will be the ethos of the Brethren Community and its Federated organisation and support, enabling its delivery of lessons to be economically sourced and supported. It is anticipated that the enrolment of the school in the longer term is expected to be in the range of 105 to 140 pupils (or as appropriate).
