Becoming a School Governor

As you may be aware the reconstitution process has commenced for the new tenure period 2013-2017. Therefore if you are interested in becoming a Governor please familiarise yourself with the guidance below and complete an application form.

First consideration of applications to become a Governor are likely to take place in January 2014

Abbey Community College is seeking expressions of interest/applicants to be a school governor from people with a wide range of skills, experience and backgrounds across the local community.

Being a School Governor does involve a time commitment but it is also rewarding in that it enables you to make a contribution to the community, children and young people.

SERVICES & INFORMATION

The Education and Library Boards (ELBs) were dissolved on 31 March 2015. The Education Authority was established on 01 April 2015 and is now responsible for all of the operational functions previously carried out by the five ELBs in accordance with the Education Orders.
