The Board’s Scheme of Management for Controlled Schools provides guidance on the procedures and proceedings of meetings of the Board of Governors.
All schools are requested to forward a copy of the notice, time, place and agenda for all meetings of Boards of Governors to the Chief Executive, in accordance with Article 35 of the Scheme of Management.
In addition, a copy of the minutes of all such meetings should be forwarded to the Chief Executive of the Board within one month after the meeting. (Article 62: Distribution of Minutes)
Schools Branch Officers process all minutes of Governors meetings and forward relevant extracts to appropriate Board Officers.

The process of the reconstitution of Boards of Governors is currently underway with a view to having new Governors in place during the 2009 – 2010 academic year. An extensive programme of training will follow the completion of the reconstitution of governors.
