Schools Branch, Inspection Process
The Board is committed to supporting all schools throughout the inspection process by engaging a variety of its services and departments.
On receiving notification of an inspection from the Department of Education, Schools Branch informs relevant Board Officers of the details of the inspection and writes to the school principal advising of the availability of support from the Board’s Curriculum Advisory Support Service (CASS).
The School’s Link Officer will:
- provide advice prior to the inspection;
- attend the inspection report back in controlled and controlled integrated schools;
- advise on the format and content of the Board of Governors' response to the report;
- coordinate and monitor support by the CASS in response to the inspection.
