Monitoring and Assessment

Using ICT, along with Communication and Using Mathematics, is one of three statutory cross-curricular skills in the Northern Ireland Revised Curriculum.  All three cross-curricular skills will be assessed and reported using Levels of Progression, which are detailed below.

The requirements for Using ICT are set out under the 5 ‘E’s, which are:

  • Explore

  • Express

  • Exchange

  • Evaluate

  • Exhibit

The following frameworks have been developed by the NEELB ICT Support Service to record pupils’ progress in Using ICT.
