The British Heart Foundation’s Heartstart programme, in partnership with NEELB CASS and NHSCT provides a flexible Emergency Life Support (ELS) training programme for staff and pupils in schools.
Delivered by fully qualified Community Resuscitation Development Officers, in compliance with the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, the initiative provides opportunities for all NEELB schools to equip staff, children, young people and members of the wider community with simple skills which can save lives.
Schools are provided with support and age-appropriate resources necessary to provide ELS training for what to do in a life-threatening emergency situation.
