Course Objectives:
 
  • To explore mental health issues within the context of the Personal Development Strand of LLW at KS4
  • To outline the mental health issues relating to young people in Northern Ireland
  • To build staff confidence and reduce concerns in dealing with sensitive issues such as self harm and suicide
  • To increase awareness of the Open Minds and Mindout resources

Target Audience:  Teachers in Guidance Centres and in EOTAS centres, PD teachers at
                              KS4 and  above, Year Heads, and those with Pastoral responsibility
                              IN POST PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
