If you are reorganising your library or adding new non-fiction books to your collection you may need Dewey numbers in order to classify the books. Use this subject index to get the correct Dewey numbers you need. Most subjects should be covered. Put the Dewey number on a label near the bottom of the book’s spine and also write it on the date label or somewhere inside the book.
You could also use a simplified version of this to teach pupils about the Dewey system.
