Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The North Eastern Education and Library Board is a licensed operating authority for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and provides:
 
  • Literature about the Award

  • Entrance packs containing Record Books for those entering the Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level

  • Advice on operating the Award

  • Support for an "Open Award" centre

  • Training courses for leaders and participants

  • Support for schools/youth groups who wish to start the Award

  • Loan of audio-visual promotional materials

  • Pools of camping equipment

  • Residential Centres

  • A scheme of financial assistance
