An opportunity to complete a Gold Qualifying expedition in one week

  • Sunday 27 June 2010 - Friday 2 July 2010, Bushmills Education Centre / Donegal Hills - £143.00

This course, using Bushmills Education Centre and the Donegal Hills, will provide the opportunity for participants to complete a Gold Qualifying Expedition in one week.

The course will be staffed by professional Instructors from Bushmills Education Centre assisted by members of the NEELB North Antrim Hills Wild Country Expedition Panel who will provide Assessors.

The course is designed for Individuals and others who are experiencing difficulty in completing the expedition section of the Gold Award.  The first day will enable participants to “brush up” on mountaineering skills, join a group to plan a route and organize menus, equipment etc.  The remainder of the course will feature a Gold Expedition with a verbal log on completion.

Bushmills Education Centre, the course base, is fully equipped with all expedition equipment, although participants may wish to use their own boots.  All expedition food is included in the course fee.
