Schools and Colleges
The Centre majors in the provision of residential programmes in life skills, social and personal education, health, team and group developments and Education for Mutual Understanding.
The range of groups include Year 7, Year 8 induction, special needs, specific curriculum related, college, GNVQ,. and GCSE PE Orienteering and Adventure Activities.
Youth Service
The Centre supports full-time/part-time leader and youth training courses: Youth Leadership, Trainee leader, OCNNI Introduction to youth Work/Programme Development, OCNNI Youth Information, Pinciple and Practice courses plus specific unit/staff training and development, and Youth Council Development conferences.
Our Mobile Climbing Wall has proven very popular supporting the work of youth leaders as an attractive means of engaging unattached young people and as a developmental aid for work with club based young people. (Available for off-site hire)
Summer Courses
The Centre is also available for outside groups and organisations to book. during the summer period – either as self programming or requiring centre staff services.
It is an ideal setting for summer camps for uniformed or church organisations, or for youth exchange programme groups. Youth ‘Summer Scheme’ day or half day trips can be catered for, also youth club visits on or off-site.
Conferences and Activity Days
The Centre is an excellent venue for meetings, conferences and training days. It can facilitate both indoor and outdoor locations and provide all the necessary equipment and expertise.
Team Development and Management Skills
Teams from a wide variety of disciplines and ages access our extensive range of programmes provided by highly experienced and skilled facilitators to promote team development, group working, leadership skills etc.
NI Curriculum
Many of the schools comment that their day spent at Woodhall was the day when their EMU / Citizenship / Learning for Life and Work / Environment and Society programme came alive. Our skills and expertise in this area are well tried and tested, and our programmes are exciting and constantly being developed.
